FibreFest! - a Celebration of Yarn and Textile Art
To be held in All Saints' Church over the weekend of 12th and 13th October 2019.
Exhibition open from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
What is FibreFest?
We are inviting textile artists of all kinds. Amateur and professional, embroiderers, quilters, knitters, weavers, spinners, felters... to show some of their work.
The aim is to show how broad the subject of textile art is, and to encourage and inspire new and potential textile artists to take up their needles or looms.
There will be some items for sale, and we are hoping to have some demonstrations or works in progress. Come back and check this page again for updates.
Refreshments will be available.
There is no charge for exhibitors or visitors, but all donations in aid of the All Saints' Development Fund greatfully received.
If you are interested in showing some of your own textile work please email Standrews.firstname.lastname@example.org and using the header FibreFest.
This event was a huge success, many thanks to all who took part - exhibitors, visitors and especially all those volunteers who worked really hard!
The atmosphere was lovely and there was a huge variety of items and skills on display from millinary to spinning, needle-felting, quilting and embroidery. From vintage heirlooms to a modern fashion student's graduation exhibition.
We were graciously donated a whole load of fabric remnants and end-of-rolls and all in all the event raised just over £2,000.00 for the All Saints' Development Fund.
Well done everyone!
